The Sol™ 2.6 are equipped with long wave NIR sensor arrays with high sensitivity, high dynamic range setting making it ideal for long wave NIR applications in the second overtone region. The extension of the spectral response into the second overtone NIR allows for more precise analysis models to be built when probing into the overtone rich NIR bands. This enables for the ultimate detection limit to be achieved as well as more accurate predictions. The example below depicts an online analyzer/control device for production quality controls of chemical products. The high measurement speed and more robust prediction model built with the Sol™ 2.6 makes it possible for a highly reliable and yet cost effective system to be realized.

The SCL100 series Spectral Calibration Sources come in 6 lamp models: Argon (Ar), Krypton (Kr), Mercury (Hg), Mercury/Argon (Hg/Ar), Neon (Ne), and Xenon (Xe). These sources can be used for wavelength calibration of monochromators, spectrometers, and spectroradiometers. By exciting these various gases they will produce narrow intense lines of the corresponding element(s). This light source comes with a 12V DC power supply and features an SMA 905 connector for fiber optic light coupling with no need for fiber alignment.
ICL series Calibrated Lamp Standards are tungsten coiled coil filaments enclosed in quartz envelopes. Both 1000W and 100W lamps provide reliable spectral irradiance calibration from 350-1050nm, 350-700nm, and 350-2200nm. Lamps are seasoned and the calibration is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) scale of spectral irradiance. The lamps are provided with their respective lamp holders for easy installation and adjustment.

The BAC046 Variable Path Length Gas Cell is designed for measuring the spectral absorbance of gases in the UV-Vis-NIR. The molecular density of gas is low so a long optical path is required to measure its molar concentration by spectral absorbance techniques as used with liquids. The BAC046 contains three mirrors, two windows, two 5-axis fiber ports and an adjustable optical path with path length steps of 0.8 meters for a total path length of 8 meters. With an optical path folded in a volume of 0.75 liters the BAC046 can be used to identify and characterize materials in; pharmaceutical, food science, biology, semiconductor, geology, and others.

BFH105 inline filter holders are designed for fiber coupling and ease of handling. It can hold up to three standard Ø 1in x 5mm filters (not included). The holder has two SMA 905 fiber connections and can be used with any B&W Tek array spectrometers and BDS or BPS light sources.
BCH100A series cuvette sample holders are designed for fiber optic illumination/detection coupling and ease of sample handling. It holds a standard 12.5 x 12.5 mm cuvette for liquid or powder sample transmittance and absorbance with proper spectrometer and light source setup. The cuvette sample holder provides 2 or 3 (optional) SMA 905 fiber couplers and is ideal for use with B&W Tek’s BRC and BTC series array spectrometers together with BPS and BDS series fiber light sources. The standard configuration comes with two ports (straight through) with optional third port for right angle (with respect to the illuminations) detections for fluorescence applications.
The FRC100 is a right angle transmissive cosine corrector for measuring spectral irradiance. Featuring a diffuser made from PTFE, the FRC100 can be used from the UV to the NIR range. When compared to integrating spheres, the FRC100 provides greater optical efficiency and improved signal sensitivity over a broad spectral range. A 600μm Fiber Patch Cord with metal sheathing is provided which connects to the SMA 905 connector on the FRC100 and to a spectrometer on the other end. A working setup would consist of purchasing an FRC100, Spectrometer, and Irradiance Calibration.
A fiber reflectance probe, such as the FRP series combines optical fibers at the sample end with the bundle bifurcated into two channels for connection to a light source and a spectrometer.
A fiber optic reflectance probe can measure either diffuse or specular reflectance from surfaces. When positioned at an angle to surface normal, it measures diffuse reflectance. When positioned normal to the surface, 0° angle of incidence, it measures specular reflectance.
The FPC series of Fiber Patch Cords are fiber optic cables terminated with fiber optic connectors on both ends. These patch cords connect with ease to B&W Tek spectrometers, light sources and sampling accessories. The fiber cables are available in single strand UV or NIR grade fused silica optical fiber with various core diameters.
NIR Grade Fiber Patch Cords use a Low -OH content silica core for a spectral range of 380nm to 2400nm.
The CLA-SMA collimating lens converts divergent rays of light into parallel rays. The lens is fabricated from fused silica and can be used over a broad spectral range, UV/Vis/ NIR. The CLA-SMA attaches to an SMA 905 connector of a Fiber Patch Cord and Fiber Assemblies from B&W Tek. When used with a fiber cord attached to a light source, the CLA-SMA produces a parallel (collimated) beam of light. When the fiber cord is attached to a spectrometer, the CLA-SMA provides a narrow acceptance angle and narrow field-of-view.
The fiber dip probe is used for measuring the transmittance and absorbance of liquid solutions. The fiber dip probe can be inserted into a beaker or other liquid container. These probes are most useful when observing changes in solutions for kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing.
